The Millennium Trilogy by Steig Larson is one of the best selling book series of the last decade.  So it's no surprise that it's being turned into an English language film series.  What may come as a surprise to some is that it's already been turned into a brilliant and faithful film series in Sweden, the book series country of origin.

CHUCK is facing a unique challenge: Earn its first-ever TV Guide Magazine cover! This is the first-time in the magazine’s 57-year history that it is letting fans pick which series they want gracing its cover (of the December 13 issue)... and our very own CHUCK is a finalist!

If Chuck Bartowski is your candidate this TV Guide election season, please get out the vote and encourage any Nerd Herders you know to mobilize as well. Fans can vote as many times as they want before November 1 at the following site: http://www.tvinsider.com/coverpoll/index.php.

Last Thursday night I watched NBC's 30 Rock Live episode.  Since I'm a Central time zone guy, I watched the East Coast feed.  Early today I had a chance to watch the West Coast feed. (Both of which are located in their entirety at Hulu.com here and here respectively. Or watched below.)

“The Social Network” is the best film no one will see this year. It opened up at number one but only $23 million. Hopefully word of mouth will go viral on this masterpiece because the hardest thing will be getting people into theaters to see it. Once they’re in, Fincher and Sorkin have won. People oblivious to the founding of Facebook have no idea what a great story is in the source material.
