Well it looks like we're going to be waiting awhile for that Veronica Mars movie. Entertainment Weekly's Micheal Ausiello recently spoke to creator Rob Thomas who told him that ""I haven't gotten far on my VM movie outline, I thought I had the idea broken, but I've hit a wall in the final act that I haven't quite figured out. And with Cupid and Party Down occupying 80 hours a week, and a new baby boy occupying the remaining hours, I haven't nailed it down. I'm hopeful that I can find the time to figure it out over the Christmas holidays."

As excited as I am about Cupid, I've never heard of Party Down and would much rather see him concentrate on the VM movie. And last I heard the movie was going to follow the series and still be set in college, instead of following the potential 4th season into her FBI career. And so I have to ask how long do we have before Kristen Bell stops being able to pass as a college student? At 28 I think the movie would have to film soon before it would have to change settings. What do you think?

As I previously mentioned, thanks to the successful Save Jericho campaign fans of Veronica Mars have risen up to proclaim their love of a certain Blonde Private Detective. The campaign to to Save Veronica Mars is simple send as many Mars Bars and Marshmallows to the CW offices as we can to convince them to save the show. Not only that but the fans are planning on downloading the Season 3 Finale "The Bitch is Back" from iTunes on June 12. This will show the CW that there is still a fan base out there for the show.
If you love this show the least you can do is d/l the episode for only $1.99 it just may help bring it back!
Also if you want to help out go to the Save Veronica Mars site and find out how you can help either by donating money or ordering candy/marshmallows to send to the CW.
Here's an update from there site on what is being shipped next week to the CW offices, it's pretty impressive!
"Update, June 9, 7:15pm: As expected, the Paypal is seeing a HUGE surge– we’re now up to $2,522.16!!! That’s great, PLEASE KEEP CONTRIBUTING!!! We are now sending 1,920 MARS bars (the entire available U.S. inventory). 4,848 Mars Snickers Almond Bars. 350 pounds of marshmallows, with more on the way. That’s over 1200 pounds of shipment right there! Who would love to see us a send an actual TON here? I know I would! The more contributions, the closer we get!"

Seriously who wouldn't want to bring this Face back to TV:

Apparently it is now being reported that Veronica Mars, while not on the CW's Fall Schedule still might have some life in it, as under contract they have until June 15th to decide the fate of this wonderful show. Apparently this means Creator Rob Thomas has some time to write what would amount to a pilot script for Veronica Mars: The FBI Years, or whatever they decide to call the proposed newish show which would center around Veronica during her first year with the FBI, the show would have to jump ahead 4ish years and lose most of the supporting cast.
This means we have time to save the show, show your support by sending CW President Dawn Ostroff as many letters as possibly at this address:
Dawn Ostroff
President of Entertainment, The CW Television Network
4000 Warner Boulevard, Bldg 168
Burbank, CA 91522-0002
I mean if this can get on the air, Veronica Mars should be able to stay on.

As anyone reading this should know I'm a huge fan of Veronica Mars AKA "The Best Show On Television". Unfortunately I guess I should now call it "The Best Show That Used To Be On Television But Isn't Anymore Because Network Executives Are Morons" or TBSTUTBOTVBIABNEAM for short.
That's right reports are coming in from all over that VM is either not on the CW's Fall Sked or has been canceled altogether. What is wrong with this world? How come good shows get left behind after a few short seasons (This, Arrested Development) or don't even get a full season (Freaks & Geeks, Firefly, Wonderfalls, and pretty much everything else by Tim Minear) while crap gets to live on for ever.
And as if VM leaving wasn't painful enough the CW picked up One Tree Hill, Girlfriends, and The Game for another season. Seriously wee need another season of OTH? They're graduating high school leave them be. But possibly the most painful fact is knowing that while the CW is canceling VM, ABC is picking up Cavemen, a show based on those Geico Commercials! How is the world not imploding on itself right this very moment.
I'm still holding out a little hope that VM will find a home somewhere, but there is some good news. A few of my other favorite shows are coming back including Supernatural and the funniest show nobody's watching How I Met Your Mother.
Before I go watch my old DVDs and cry I leave you with a picture of Veronica as she looked in happier days:

So Apparently I'm not the only person out there that's disgusted with the CW and the fact that they've replaced the best show on TV, AKA Veronica Mars, with the lowest form of entertainment around, The Search for the Next Pussycat Doll. (The saddest fact is that Search is doing better in the ratings than Veronica, Why Are You People Watching This Trash!?!?!?!)
But Dean Trippe, a fantastic Artist, has drawn up this wonderful piece of art, depicting Veronica Knocking out one of the pussycat dolls. Hope You Enjoy.
