I think possible the best thing that could have happened to NBC and it's late night was the Debacle that was putting Jay Leno at 10/9c.  Because the news that they are pulling the show off the air and moving it to 11:35/10:35c has created a ton of publicity and probably helped boost the ratings.

No no one seems to know if the plan to put Jay at 11:35, Conan O'Brien at 12:05, and Jimmy Fallon at 1:05 will work out or not, and no one seems to have a clue what to do with Carson Daly's show although NBC insists he's not leaving the network.  Rumors persist that Conan will walk away with somewhere in the neighborhood of $45 Million if he leaves the Tonight Show, although I'm not sure if he gets any of that if he walks away on his one accord.  Other rumors have Conan heading to Fox, but that would mess with the affiliates 10:00/9:00c news, so who knows.

What I do know is that all three hosts are knocking it out of the park in their opening monologues, focusing a lot of jokes at NBC.  So if nothing else, I think the whole episode is keeping audiences entertained.  Below you'll find Jay's opening monologue where he takes some swings at NBC and the full episode of Conan who just goes after NBC over and over.  Enjoy!
