Summer always brings a large variety of movies to the screen, and this summer was no different. Two of the most talked about films this summer were The A-Team and Machete. And now we have details on their upcoming blu-ray release.
The A-Team
Why relax at home this holiday season when you can surge on an adrenaline high with THE A-TEAM? Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment is on a mission to kick up the excitement level this year with the launch of THE A-TEAM Blu-ray and DVD on Tuesday, December 14. The 2-Disc Blu-ray pack promises more than 90 minutes of bonus material, including exclusive action, adventure and attitude for all -- whether they have been naughty or nice. There’s more action, more adventure — and more attitude — in THE A-TEAM Extended Edition, which includes a never-before-seen version of the film with spectacular added footage not shown in theaters!
Fans of the hit 1980’s TV series—which included 80 million viewers—will love this fast and furious action-adventure motion picture with awesome FX, stunts and memorable phrases. The Blu-ray and DVD SKUs go beyond the movie with an All-Adrenaline extended cut and the 2-Disc Blu-Ray edition contains 90 minutes of new action and stunt-packed footage, interactive features, and the movie in all formats.
Buckle up for an adrenaline-fueled thrill ride starring Liam Neeson (Taken), Bradley Cooper (The Hangover), Quinton “Rampage” Jackson (UFC Star), and Sharlto Copley (District 9). Convicted by a military court for a crime they didn’t commit, a daring team of former Special Forces soldiers must utilize their unique talents to break out of prison and tackle their toughest mission yet. It’s going to take guts, split-second timing and an arsenal of explosive weapons...this is a job for The A-Team!
THE A-TEAM will be available on a 2-Disc Blu-ray package for suggested retail price of $39.99 U.S / $49.99 Canada and a 1-Disc DVD for suggested retail price of $29.98 U.S. / $43.48 Canada. Prebook is November 17.

Machete
WARNING:
The out-for-revenge, action-driven MACHETE is ready to serve up some justice with guns blazing and bloody blades slicing. On January 4, 2011 keep an eye out for MACHETE on Blu-ray and DVD courtesy of Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. The sharpest way to see it is on Blu-ray, with killer deleted scenes that deliver more guns, more girls and more Machete action!
From director Robert Rodriguez (Grindhouse, Sin City), and featuring an all-star cast including Danny Trejo, Robert De Niro and Jessica Alba, comes an action-packed, bare-knuckled fistful of carnage asada! Set up, double-crossed and left for dead, Machete (Trejo) is an ass-kicking ex-Federale who lays waste to anything that gets in his path. As he takes on hit men, vigilantes and a ruthless drug cartel, bullets fly, blades clash and the body count rises. Any way you slice it, vengeance has a new name--Machete.
REWARD:
And now get the full Machete story with exclusive deleted scenes that reveal never-before-seen characters, twisting plot lines, and more bloody good action! MACHETE is available as a 2-Disc Blu-ray with Digital Copy and 1-Disc DVD for the suggested retail prices of $39.99 U.S. / $49.99 Canada and $29.98 U.S. / $43.48 Canada, respectively. Prebook is December 8, 2010.
Machete now includes another way to get a Digital Copy of the movie. Through Digital Copy via Pocket BLU, consumers can now transfer a Digital Copy of a movie wirelessly from a BD-Live enabled Blu-ray player directly to a portable device. The Machete Blu-ray release still includes a physical Digital Copy disc but now offers this new wireless transfer method as well. Always simple, fast and portable, this next generation of Digital Copy makes it even easier for consumers to enjoy movies on the go. Digital Copy via Pocket BLU currently plays on Apple portable devices and soon will be extended for Android platform support.
