Growing up my favorite Christmas Song was The 12 Days of Christmas with The Muppets and John Denver. I don't have that, but Jimmy Fallon and the Muppets is a pretty good substitute so here you go:

As I gear up to write about my favorite films of the year I thought I'd post "The List" Every movie released this year that I saw, be it in theaters or the comfort of my own home. I'm holding off on my Favorite* list until after the Holidays as I plan to see a few films (Avatar and Sherlock Holmes to name but two) which may end up in the top 10 (or 15).
*I say favorite because my favorite films may not be "The Best" films I saw this past year as something fun might beat out something technically brilliant.
So here's the films I saw this year in no particular order:
1. My Bloody Valentine 3D
2. Paul Blart: Mall Cop
3. New In Town
4. Taken
5. Coraline 3D
6. Fanboys
7. He's Just Not That Into You
8. Friday the 13th
9. Fired Up
10. The International
11. Watchmen
12. Miss March (The Years Worst!)
13. Duplicity
14. I Love You, Man
15. 12 Rounds
16. Monsters vs Aliens 3D
17. Adventureland
18. Fast & Furious
19. 17 Again
20. State of Play
21. Ghost of Girlfriends Past
22. Wolverine
23. Star Trek
24. The Brothers Bloom
25. Drag Me To Hell
26. Up
27. The Hangover
28. The Proposal
29. Hurt Locker
30. I Love You, Beth Cooper
31. Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince
32. G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra
33. District 9
34. Inglourious Basterds
35. Funny People
36. Extract
37. Paranormal Activity
38. Zombieland
39. The Box
40. The Twilight Saga: New Moon
41. Transformers 2
And I also saw a 2008 release this year:
42. Gran Torino

Ricky Gervais. What can I saw about Ricky Gervais? He truly is a comic genius. He's been the best thing about the several awards shows over the past two years, stealing the show with his brief stints as a presenter. So I am truly excited to watch him host the Golden Globes this January. NBC has started promoting the awards shows recently with a hilarious spot that shows off why Gervais is so funny. So I'm happy to present to you that spot and as an added bonus you get a first look at some promos for this week's Saturday Night Live with host James Franco.
Ricky Gervais hosts the Hollywood party of the year. The Golden Globes, Sunday, Jan. 17.
James Franco will be busy on Christmas.

In honor of tonight's final episode I thought it would be fun to look back at some of my favorite quotes from the series. Of course there are several lines that Monk says so often that they have been immortalized in television history, "He's the Guy" "I don't know how he did it. But he did it." "It's a gift...and a curse." "Here's what happened" and of course "Wipe!" will all be remembered by Monk fans as some of the most repeated and most memorable lines from the series.
But I wanted to look at some of the other great lines, so of which may have been forgotten, Some are single lines, some are entire conversations, some are funny, and some are touching. But they were all created by the genius writers of Monk, a show that changed cable television, and one that will continue to live on in our hearts for years to come.

Here are two more photos from tonight's Series Finale of Monk.
This first photo looks a lot like the waiting room in the hospital from last week's episode, so I'm hoping the wonderful cast is waiting to hear some good news about Mr. Monk. Otherwise it might be curtains for our hero.
This second photo looks a lot like a very ill Monk preparing to kill someone, while Randy holds off other officer's in the background. Maybe Monk finally catches his prey and Capt. Stottlemeyer gives the dying Monk his one last wish, to kill the man who took everything from him. That's my theory anyway. It sure doesn't look like Stottlemeyer is trying to stop him, that's for sure.
Hopefully these two images satisfied your cravings for Monk until tonight's Finale (at 9/8c on USA) but if not check back here in about 30 min for a plethora of activities and sites to keep you busy until and long after the finale.
