Over the past three seasons USA's Burn Notice has continued to evolve as a series. What started out as a MacGyver-ish, mostly episodic series, has evolved into a series with a long-series spanning mythology. For those of you just tuning in here's a quick recap:

Micheal Weston (Jeffrey Donovan) was an American spy until he was burned and stranded in his home town of Miami, with no money and nowhere to go. Weston reconnects with an old spy buddy, Sam (Bruce Campbell), an ex-flame/Irish gun nut, Fiona (Gabrielle Anwar), and his chain-smoking mother, Madeline (Sharon Gless). In each episode Weston and his team help out those who can't help themselves, whether it's a business man whose son has been kidnapped, an older woman whose been conned out of her life savings, or a kid whose gotten himself in trouble with a gang. Each episode is narrated by Weston, and he tells the audience how to use household items to make everything from explosives to tracking devices. Over the three seasons we've learned who burned Weston and met other spies who've been burned by "the company".

Last season ended with Weston being blamed for the terrorist activities of another burned spy who had gone crazy. But while Weston managed to take down the real terrorist he also ended up arrested himself, and the episode ended with him sitting in the middle of a mysterious office and his whereabouts unknown.

Tonight's first new episode of season four, 'Friends and Enemies', explains just where Weston ended up last season and introduces us to a new character, Robert Wisdom's Vaughn. Vaughn works for "the company" and asks Weston for help in taking down an unknown terrorist. Meanwhile, Sam and Fiona are back in Miami trying to protect an young attorney from a biker gang. And before the episode is over Weston, inadvertently puts another Agent in danger. Will Michael work for "the company" the burned him? Will there be a happy reunion for Michael and Fiona? Will Sam drink a beer? For the answers to all these questions you'll have to tune in tonight at 10/9c on USA.

You can see the preview for tonight's episode below and be sure to head back here tonight to read my full review of the episode.

So there were quite a few excellent entries for the Burn Notice Contest last week. I asked contestants to send in their favorite Micheal Weston moment, real or made up, and I would pick my favorite and publish it here. These are my 3 favorites. Unfortunately numbers 2 and3 don't win anything put seeing their stories published.

Of course while there were some great entries there were some that got thrown out because they didn't follow the rules and only sent in their name and address, so make sure to follow the rules.

So here's the stories:

2nd Runner-Up: Bob Kelso of Florida (Real Name held for anonymity)
Here is my Michael Weston moment (and yes, it is true):

I was working as an EMT in the West Bank and heard on the radio to respond to a motorcycle crash on a small road outside of the Christian town of Beit Jala and the Jewish town of Gilo. I was in my personal vehicle, not on the ambulance, and only had my own personal stash of medical supplies. Upon arrival, mere minutes after the call, I noticed that I was the first on scene and the man was unconscious. He was bleeding severely from his leg so I whipped out my tourniquet. In my haste however I accidentally snapped it in half (not an easy thing to do!) and was left with no other options. The normal choice in this situation is to use the patient's (or your own) shirt, however instead I looked around for something to use and noticed that his motorcycle used a rubber transmission belt that was broken from the fall. I grabbed it, cut it in half using my knife, and tied it around his injured leg, saving his life. I continued to stabilize him using the traditional methods until the bulletproof ambulance arrived to pick up the patient.

Runner-Up: Sean Breckling of The Internet
For my best friend's bachelor party, I concocted a scheme to "collect" him.

I had a couple of fake letters mailed to him from a fake lawyer in California, saying that he was implicated as a potential father in a paternity case regarding their "client" (who's name was intentionally out). The "law firm" was going to pay for him to have his DNA analyzed, if he went to one of the four pre-determined appointments, three of which had conveniently passed by the time he got the letter.

To add authenticity, I had the letters mailed from California by a friend of ours, and made sure the address was a mid-shabby office building in Sacramento.

When he received the letters, he immediately called me, freaking out about this development, and tearfully confessed the whole story to his fiance (whom was in on the gag). He went as far as to make a list of every woman he had been intimate with, over the years. (The fact that it easily fit on a post-it was particularly funny, come bar-night.)

The following day he went to his "appointment", letters-in-hand, where the guys and I were waiting, grinning ear to ear. It took him a few seconds to register that he had been had, but once he did, he yelled "I've never been so happy to be so pissed!!".

And the winner is: Mark Judge of Dallas, Texas
When I was 11 or 12 I had a habit of getting jumped by 1 of 4 brothers that lived in our housing tract. Actually there were 5 brothers but only 4 of them ever jumped anyone, the other one was the oldest and nicest. Anyway, it always seemed like when you would least expect it they would be there, jumping out of a bush, from behind a fence, off of a roof, heck, sometimes it seemed like they just appeared out of thin air. Once they caught you they would throw you to the ground and either start punching you or they would wrap their bodies around you like a pretzel to where you couldn't move. Then they would squeeze until you cried or they would make you say something humiliating before letting you up. But not before taking anything of value whether it be money, candy, sports equipment, whatever. None of us that got jumped ever told our parents because we knew they would go talk to the parents of the brothers and then things would just get worse. So, we endured.
Anyway, it was summertime and I had just walked about 1 and a half miles to the local store to buy me some baseball cards and candy. The candy was Bottlecaps and Atomic Fireballs. Not the big jawbreaker ones but the little ones that came in a box. Well, as I was making my way back to my house I spotted one of the brothers, about a half a block down. Unfortunately he spotted me at the same time. I was still a good ways from my house and would never make it there before he caught up to me but I took off running anyway. As I was running I could hear the Atomic Fireballs moving up and down in their boxes as I ran and I had an idea.
So I whip around this corner and duck behind a bush and take my 2 packages of Atomic Fireballs out and dump them on the sidewalk. If you don't know what Atomic Fireballs are they are like little tiny HARD marbles.
Once my trap is set I take off running again and about 3 seconds later I turn my head to admire my trap in action. It worked like a charm. He came flying around the corner and his feet hit those little candies and up up and AWAY he went! It seemed like he was in the air for 5 seconds. Then he came CRASHING down to the earth.
VICTORY!
Well, the good news was that he did not catch me that day and I got to keep my Bottlecaps and baseball cards. The bad news was that when he was coming down he tried to break his fall but instead broke his wrist. He was in a cast for 3 months and he did tell his parents how it happened and they did tell my parents and I spent a 2 weeks of summer vacation grounded.
But, it was totally worth it!

Congrats to Mark!

On Tuesday Burn Notices Bruce "Sam Axe" Campbell and Sharon "Madeline Weaston" Gless took part in a conference call interview. Unfortunately I had to work and missed the call but I've got some of the interview to share with you.

Q: Alright, Bruce, I know that you played in Xena and Hercules a sort of a rogue who helped out the good guys as well. And Sharon, obviously you played Cagney, a bad-ass cop and she also knew her way around bad guys. So I was curious how these roles and others may have helped to cultivate the characters that you play on Burn Notice.

B. Campbell Go ahead, Sharon.

S. Gless Well, the only bad guys I have to find my way around are Jeffrey and Bruce. I mean, my job on the show is the mother from hell. I don’t get involved in the heavy stuff like they do.

B. Campbell Sharon, your character is scarier than some of the bad guys.

Q: You helped out in that case when Bruce got captured and you were sort of interrogating the one guy.

S. Gless That’s right, I think that’s when Michael was captured.

Q: Yes, that’s when Michael was captured.

S. Gless Right, that was very, very funny. It’s not often that I get to do one-upsmanship on Bruce Campbell.

B. Campbell What’s amazing is she turned out to be a very good interrogator and then who knew. I actually think we’re going to see in the scenes that come – because Sharon, you were also on a stakeout and you had to spot somebody. You had to be a lookout.

S. Gless At the bingo game.

B. Campbell Right. So don’t kid yourself. You’re going to be an operative before too long maybe.

S. Gless Okay, look out.

Q: How about you, Bruce?

B. Campbell Well, I mean, I’ve always enjoyed playing a little left of center characters. Otherwise I’d be on a soap opera, you know. What’s attractive to me was that these are real characters. These are characters who drink and smoke and make mistakes and have foibles in love and try to fix their mother's garbage disposal. That’s what’s attractive to me. That’s what got me into this show and knowing that I’m with four, three other kind of seasoned adult actors. That’s always attractive when you know you’re going to be working with people that it’s going to be worth showing up for.

S. Gless It’s true.

B. Campbell It’s made a big difference. And this show, I can’t speak for Sharon, but this show came out of nowhere.

S. Gless Yes.

B. Campbell The things that I plan never happen. Things that I don’t plan do

S. Gless Exactly. That’s how I thought. I think that when Bruce and I first – we were interviewed together. Do you remember that, in Pasadena or somewhere?

B. Campbell Yes.

S. Gless And I was actually sitting in the fat farm and this script arrived and I was sitting all alone in my room and it made me laugh out loud and I was all by myself. And I thought, this is funny. This is fun, I like this. It had substance to it, too.

B. Campbell It probably didn’t hurt that you live in Miami, too.

S. Gless I forgot about that, but I didn’t tell them that during the interview.

B. Campbell Exactly.

S. Gless I wanted to live in a hotel like you guys. And then when it sold, I had to ‘fess up.

B. Campbell Right.

S. Gless Yes, I do, though, I do live here in Miami.

Q: Bruce, is there a beer or cocktail that Sam has yet to meet and enjoy and if there is, what is it and why haven’t they met yet? And Sharon, Madeline seems to go with the flow a bit more nowadays with Michael’s past. Will she eventually come around to just trusting him blindly or will curiosity get the best of her and she’ll find out on her own where her son has been for the past ten years?

B. Campbell Go ahead, Sharon.

S. Gless I think Madeline is slowly figuring it out. I don’t think, to this day, she really understands the full impact of what it is he really does. But she knows he helps people. That’s how she phrases it. That’s how she lives with it. And yes, she is getting more informed. I think there are moments where she does trust him. She has to, she is, despite what you see, she loves him. It’s her boy. But I think there’s always a bit of doubt because he’s never completely forthcoming. So what she finds out she sort of finds out on her own. He’s a little vague when he explains things, enough to calm her down or to get her to help in an indirect way.

B. Campbell And with regard to Sam’s question, I don’t think there is a cocktail that he has not found yet. I think Sam has been making them up, he knows so many of them. But you know, the one thing I want to point out is you never see him drunk. You know, a lot of people go, oh Sam’s an alcoholic. Hey, he’s a guy who likes to drink like a lot of Americans. So that truly is – you find sometimes we pick our battles. If I’ve got a morning meeting with the feds, Sam will have a cup of coffee. He’s not a complete party boy.

S. Gless Bruce and I are still trying to get Matt Nix to write us a . . .

B. Campbell He promised us season two, he promised that we would get drunk together.

S. Gless I know, he lied. When Sam babysits with Maddie, wouldn’t it be a fun thing to sit there and get loaded and not talk about anything that has to do with the work.

B. Campbell Exactly.

Q: Now aside from you two getting drunk together, how do you want to see Sam and Madeline’s relationship evolve in season four. And for either one of you if Michael did re-establish his link to the espionage community, what would happen to Sam and Fiona?

B. Campbell Well, go ahead, Sharon, give it a whack.

S. Gless Well, I think Sam and Maddie have kind of a really cool relationship. We were given a chance to live together. That helps. I didn’t tell you this, Bruce, that I really miss the fact that you moved out.

B. Campbell I know.

S. Gless Yes. But that gives you a chance to come back. How do I see the relationship evolving? I see it as all good. I see that it can get rougher, it can get more tender, and I think there’s a myriad of things that can come out of a relationship with two people who do respect each other and who both love this one man, this boy, my boy and his friend.

B. Campbell And you know the one thing I should say, too. I can’t speak for other actors, but I don’t really probe the writers, I honestly don’t. I haven’t bugged them in three years about what’s coming up with Sam. Whether he’s going to have a home or a girlfriend. I like to sit back, just like the audience, and let it happen. I get excited reading the next script, because I don’t really know what they have planned. The season finale, I couldn’t tell you sitting here right now what’s going to happen. Not because I’m lying or that I’m not supposed to, I don’t know because I haven’t asked, I don’t want to know. So you know . . .

S. Gless I’m the same way. I never ask about what’s going to happen with my character.

B. Campbell No, because . . . as we’ve seen, they’re good writers so you know, get out of their face. We don’t like them in our face, I don’t get in their face.

(CineManiac Comment I Love Bruce's answer to this!) Q: This question is for both of you guys. If Michael, Fi and Sam were all stuck at Madeline’s house somehow. They were together, there was a sudden attack by zombies, what do you think your own characters would contribute to the battles against an army of the undead.

B. Campbell I would pick you up and hold you in front the zombies for asking such a lame question.

Q: I don’t like that one.

S. Gless I really don’t know how to answer that.

B. Campbell Can’t help you.

S. Gless But thank you, I’d have to leave that to the writers.

Q: I’m a huge fan of yours, Sharon, and I’m just thrilled to be on this call with you. I’ve been a fan since Marcus Welby.

S. Gless Oh my God, you don’t sound that old.

Q: But I am, and Cagney and Lacey of course.

S. Gless May I interject something for a minute? Do you know I was put on Marcus Welby as a regular for a year because I was to be a love interest of James Brolin, and they said that there was absolutely no chemistry between James Brolin and me and I got fired.

B. Campbell You failed the chemistry test.

S. Gless He was waiting for Barbara, I guess. I don’t know.

Q: And so you ended up on Cagney and Lacey.

S. Gless Yes.

Q: So it was a good thing. Speaking of Cagney and Lacey, you’re going to have somewhat of a reunion coming up this Sunday night. Can you talk about that a little bit?

S. Gless We’re having what, a reunion?

Q: A reunion.

S. Gless A Cagney and Lacey reunion?

Q: Well, sort of, on Burn Notice, on the show.

S. Gless Oh, excuse me, I was going to say I wasn’t invited. It’s not – is it this episode?

B. Campbell I think Thursday, yes.

S. Gless Oh, it’s this one coming up, that’s the one? Oh I didn’t realize that.

B. Campbell The actors never know anything. We don’t know when things are on.

S. Gless I don’t. I’m sorry, forgive me, what was your question about.

Q: I just wanted to know if you could talk about getting together with Ms. Daly again and working with her again.

S. Gless It was wonderful. And I’m not just saying that. Tyne Daly is one of the finest actresses I’ve ever met or ever had the pleasure of working with. It was just like old times. I mean they were different characters, but we know each other now and her mother had a great expression. Okay, her mom said, “Sweat makes a great cement.” And she and I sweat together for six years and we just know each other’s timing, we know, and we love, we love to rehearse, we love to work, and it was a real treat for me and I think for all of us to have her on the show.

B. Campbell It was great to watch. Yes, we loved it and the crew and the cast. …

Q: Well, thank you so much, I’m looking forward to it.

S. Gless Oh, thank you.

And there's another reason to tune in tonight at 9/8c to USA, you'll get to see a mini Cagney & Lacy Reunion.

I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to tonight's episode of Burn Notice, but I'd be lying if I didn't say I was a bit sad and nervous as well. I'm sad because after tonight we have to wait until January for a new episode (Boooo) And I'm nervous because I get phone blasts from USA about BN and the most recent one told me that tonight someone would die!

Now the phone blast says that the death will be one of 4 people:
1. Diego
2. Strickler
3. Fiona
4. Madeline

Now if Diego or Strickler die, I could care less, they've basically played their parts and are new to the show, but if it's Fi or Madeline I'm going to go crazy! These two are the glue that holds Michael together, whether he wants to admit it or not. We all know that Fi is the love of his life and although he tries to fight it and he just plain fights with her, he loves her and it would destroy him to lose her. And Madeline, his mother, is just getting to be involved with their missions and making a big leap becoming a bigger part of not only his life, but his work, again whether he likes it or not. And losing his mother might actually do more damage than if Fi dies, especially if she died while helping him on a mission. So yeah I'm a bit nervous about tonight's episode.

Speaking of tonight's episode, here's a bit of some info in case you need a refresher:
Micheal did a job for the slimy Strickler, who gets former agents to work for him as mercenaries. Strickler in turn got Micheal connected with the people who can lift his burn notice and put him back in the field. Diego, Micheal's contact with the gov't contacted him to let him know they wanted to talk to him. Fiona is not happy about Micheal getting his job back, because she loves him and knows if he goes back she'll never see him, and he might die serving his country, a country that sold him out and turned their back on him for no good reason.

On tonight's episode:
A dangerous man from Fiona's past resurfaces in Miami after years of hiding, with deadly intentions. Teaming up with Fiona's ruthless brother, Michael will do whatever it takes to save her... even if that means crossing a few lines.

And I can't wait to find out what happens.

Also remember you can enter my giveaway until tonight!

This Thursday night one of television's best summer series (and best series period!) airs it's final new episode of 2009. That's right USA's Burn Notice is sadly taking time off after this Thursday's Mid-Season Finale. Personally I'd love to see 52 weeks of Burn Notice, but I don't think the actors would agree to that.

In honor of this great show, and it's final episode of the year, the fine folks over at USA and I are running another contest. This time you can win a heck of a prize pack:

Burn Notice Season 1 & 2 DVD

Burn Notice Novel

Burn Notice T-Shirt

That's right you can win all this, and all you have to do is: Send me an e-mail (link is the "Contact Me" button above) telling me how you once pulled a Micheal Weston and made something useful from something else. My favorite response will win the prize. So you might make it funny, or heartwarming, or anything, heck it doesn't even have to be true. The response that I like the best may be posted here and win the prize pack. Also, the contest ends after the episode airs on the West Coast!

A dangerous man from Fiona's past resurfaces in Miami after years of hiding, with deadly intentions. Teaming up with Fiona's ruthless brother, Michael will do whatever it takes to save her... even if that means crossing a few lines. Don't miss the Burn Notice summer finale — "Long Way Back" — Thursday at 9/8C! Check out a clip below.

Season 3 will continue with eight all new episodes beginning in January, 2010.

To say this season of Burn Notice has been "Explosive" would be putting it mildly. The season started out with a huge explosion as someone set out to assassinate Michael (Jeffrey Donovan) and it seems like every episode has scene something blowing up, engulfed in flames, or being shot to hell. And the season finale (airing tonight at 10pm/9c) doesn't appear to let up one bit. And today to celebrate tonight's Season Finale we've got a lot of Burn Notice stuff for you to enjoy.

So if you're not up to date on this season (and shame on you if your not) you're probably wondering what's been going on. Well a whole lot. Sure Michael's still helping out those in need like a modern day Robin MacGuyver-Hood, but he's also been trying to discover just who burned him, and more recently why exactly someone is trying to kill him.

Well it turns out the man trying to kill him is someone Michael knows, a man named Victor (Michael Shanks). Viewers may remember Victor from way back in August when he and Michael worked together to steal the high powered rifle for Carla (Tricia Helfer). (If you can't remember Carla, well she's the woman who may or may not have burned Michael to force him to work for her covert organization.) Seems Victor was brought into Carla's employ in the same way as Michael and he wants someone to pay for it. So he's hellbent on taking out Carla and everyone who works for her. Which brings us to tonight's episode. in which Michael "learns some surprising facts about Victor's past, and is forced to take on Carla in a final showdown." I don't know about you but I'm ready to watch it right now!

So we need something to tide us over until tonight, luckily USA's got us covered with several things! First up there's the Covert Ops 2 Game! In which you can take part in a new daring mission and help Seymour retrieve a valuable microchip. And you could win some prizes so why not click on the banner below and get to playing (Right after you read the rest of this post of course!)

You can also check out the official Burn Notice Facebook page and talk to other fans and discuss theories about what's going on on the show

And if that's not enough I've got a few videos you can watch. First up a preview for tonight's episode, followed by 2 clips from the episode.

And last but not least you can read the complete interview with Tricia Helfer put on by USA and many of my fellow bloggers. I've posted a few snippets of it below and you can go here for the full interview.

So Don't Forget to watch the Burn Notice Season 2 Finale on Thursday, March 5th at 10pm/9c on USA NETWORK! In the explosive season finale, Michael learns some surprising facts about Victor's past, and is forced to take on Carla in a final showdown.

No not the academy award winners, you can go anywhere to see those. Although I will say I was ecstatic to see Slumdog Millionaire take home the top prize, director, and all the other awards it left with. And Ledger's win, which everyone saw coming, brought tears to my eyes and once again made me realize how much I miss him. (It says a lot that I get misty eyed thinking of the death of someone I never knew.)

But I'm sure what everyone wants to know is who won the HGTV Dream Home Giveaway and the Burn Notice Caption Contest. We'll wonder no longer because the names are below.
HGTV Dream Home Giveaway
The Winner is....
Celia Tidmore!!!
(Yes, Celia is my mom, but everyone who entered was either a friend or relative. I had two different people pick a number and had all entrants listed and when they both picked #4, it was clear that was the winner.)

Burn Notice Caption Contest

The Winner is....

Jana Ragsdale!!!

Congrats to the winners, you're prizes should be in the mail soon.

I'm happy to say that all my favorite (And they should be yours as well) USA shows are returning next month, and I couldn't be more excited. And while we sit around and wait for the holidays to pass us by so these brilliant shows can return Santa has brought us an early present: Promo videos for each of the shows! So scroll on down and check them out.

Also in case you haven't heard this is Monk's next to last season. USA confirmed that it has picked up Monk for a final season which will kick off this summer, presumably to wrap up after another January run in 2010.

Monk Returns January 9th at 9.8c.

Psych Returns January 9th at 10/9c.

Burn Notice Returns January 22nd at 10/9c. (I believe)

Hey gang don't miss out on the season finale of the fantastic USA show Burn Notice. Tonight at 10/9c on USA all of Michael's work this season seems to have finally panned out, but when a client is forced into a kidnapping scheme Michael has to pose as a security consultant - a guy who will stop at nothing to foil the gang's plan. Will this interfere with his plan to finally find out who burned him? I don't know but I'll be tuning in tonight to find out, just like you should.

Below you'll find a clip from tonight's episode and for more on the show head over to the official fan page on Facebook or visit the official site.

As I've previously mentioned last season I fell in love with USA's series, Burn Notice. The series follo
ws "burned" spy Michael Weston as he helps out those in need as a P.I., while trying to figure out who killed his career as a spy and why. (A "Burn Notice" is an agencies way of disavowing a spy) The first season ended with a phone call from a woman claiming to be the one who burned Michael telling him to drive out of town. The last scene was Michael pulling his car into an 18-wheeler not knowing what would happen to him.

The 2nd Season opener, 'Breaking and
Entering', opens with Michael still in his car sitting in the truck. After sitting in the car for hours Michael hears a cadre of gunfire. When the truck finally opens there are dead men strewn about and a lone living one, tied up and trying to escape. Michael’s phone rings and it’s the mystery woman. She tells him that if he helps her out, he’ll get a face-to-face meeting with her.

Michael’s mission is to help Jimmy, (The tied up guy trying to crawl away) whose family has been kidnapped by “The Voice”, to break into an office building and still some files off of the computer. Jimmy is a computer programmer who worked on the computer in question and knows the system. The main problem is the computer belongs to Ryder, who happens to be a mercenary for hire.
While Michael deals with breaking into the highly secured building that houses the computer (which includes using a very good Australian accent) he also has to deal with the ones who thought he had left for good, His ex, Fiona, his mother, and his good friend, Sam. Fiona is pissed, having thought Michael left for good, but is clearly still in love with him, even if they can’t be together (at least right now). Michael’s mother, Madeline, is upset because her toaster was destroyed by “The Voice’s” people, her idea of an Emergency. And Sam, is the same old Sam, except for now he’s living in Michael’s flat.

I’m happy to say Season 2 kicks off with a premiere that meets the bar set by Season 1. The show has the same mix of humor, action, “MacGyver-ish” gadgets, and intrigue. While the mystery of who burned Michael is still being explored we do appear to be getting closer to the truth, whatever that might be. Burn Notice is one of the best shows on television, and one you don’t want to miss.

And if you haven’t yet seen Season 1 (or you have and you just want to own it) check back tomorrow for a special give-away sponsored by the good people at USA.

If your summer is like mine it's a scorcher, with Austin temps getting up to 100+ 13 times already (The norm is 12) and going through a 31 day heat wave I'm looking for any way to cool off. Luckily come July USA's giving us another great reason to stay indoors, turn up the air, and relax in front of an amazing series, Burn Notice.

Last summer Burn Notice hit with reviews comparing it to MacGyver, and if you know me I love me some MacGyver so I tuned in. I must say I was happy to find a show even better than that old classic. Burn Notice mixes the quick, comedic banter of USA shows like Psych and Monk with clever inventions thrown together MacGyver style, and blends them up with a wonderful spy plot, a great family sub-plot (Sharon Gless is hysterically nagging as Weston's mother), and the always wonderful Bruce Campbell.

Burn Notice for those of you who missed last season (You can catch reruns right now on USA to help catch up) is the tale of Michael Weston (Hitch's Jeffrey Donovan) a covert-operations agent who, on a mission in Nigeria, finds out the hard way that he's been given a Burn Notice. A Burn Notice is a notice given out by intelligence agencies to discredit or denounce an agent. Weston manages to escape to his home town of Miami, Florida and told in no uncertain terms that he's not to leave town or he'll be hunted down and arrested.

Stuck in Miami, strapped for cash Weston, with the help of his ex, former IRA operative Fiona (The beautiful Gabrielle Anwar), and old pal Sam (Campbell) a semi-retired intelligence agent, begins taking cases as a private investigator and spy for hire. The cases range from helping his mother's friend get her money back from a scam artist to locating missing persons. But all the while Weston is still trying to find out who had him "burned" and why, a mystery which lasts all season long.

The new season begins on July 10th (at 10pm/9pm central) and adds Battlestar Galactica's Tricia Helfer to the cast as a new spy named Carla, the public face to the people who burned Weston. If you're looking for humor, action, and a weekly dose of Awesome this show is not to be missed.
