Sorry I realized I haven't done a quote in a while or posted the answer.  The last quote (on the 26th) was:

"Kate? It's Dr. Hallen, I'm still at the office... something's come up, I need you back here right away. No you've got to come back, Kate, there's a man here with some sort of a parasite on his arm, assimilating his flesh at a frightening speed. I may have to get ahead of it and amputate. No... I don't know what it is or where it came from."

From 1958's The Blob, one of the first horror movies I ever saw.  I remember watching it on TV while some of my mom's family was in town, sitting on the couch bed (I think with my cousin) and watching it.  That was a long time ago.

Today's quote is:
"I have stood on the sidelines of race relations long enough! I want to march down that field of oppression and kick that ball of bigotry right over the goalpost of intolerance! "

Enjoy!

Hello folks,
It's that time again. What time? Time for a movie quote! Now there was no quote yesterday, so the picture above is just a random pic I decided to add. The picture comes from this past year's hit comedy Pinapple Express and has nothing to do with the post what-so-ever. So enjoy it. And now for the Quote:

"Kate? It's Dr. Hallen, I'm still at the office... something's come up, I need you back here right away. No you've got to come back, Kate, there's a man here with some sort of a parasite on his arm, assimilating his flesh at a frightening speed. I may have to get ahead of it and amputate. No... Yesterday's Quote: "I had no idea a Republican could be that sexy!"

Comes from Woody Allen's Melinda and Melinda which starred Will Ferrell.

Today's Quote is brought to us by HBOs new series, 'Eastbound & Down' You can see a preview of the show below today's quote.
The first person to correctly answer the quote will win an 'Eastbound & Down' Foam Finger and Koozie.

Today's only clue is that it comes from a movie featuring either Will Ferrell or Danny McBride, I'm not saying how big their role in said movie is.

Friday's Quote: ""All right, ... you called down the thunder, well now you've got it! You see that? It says United States Marshal! ...Take a good look at him, ... 'cause that's how you're gonna end up! The Cowboys are finished, you understand? I see a red sash, I kill the man wearin' it! So run, you cur... RUN! Tell all the other curs the law's comin'! You tell 'em I'M coming... and hell's coming with me, you hear?... Hell's coming with me!"

Of course that quote comes from Wyatt Earp (Kurt Russell) in Tombstone, if there's ever been a better western made I've yet to see it. (The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly is a close second in my book)

Yesterday's Bonus Quote: "I don't know. Not for sure. But I believe he is. You see, before he came down here, it never snowed. And afterwards, it did. If he weren't up there now, I don't think it would be snowing. Sometimes... you can still catch me dancing in it."

Comes from: Winona Ryder in Edward Scissorhands. (The frequent collaborators being Tim Burton and Johnny Depp of course) Congrats to Ruth for being the first to guess the answer.

No Clues today as it's a real easy one, and easily one of the best quotes from one of my favorite movies of all time.
Also be sure to check in Monday and Tuesday as we've got a special Sponsored Quote of the Day challenge. On those days the first person to correctly guess the quote will win a foam finger and koozie from HBO's new show 'Eastbound & Down'
On those days each quote will come from a movie that either Will Ferrell or Danny McBride appeared in, the producer and star of the show, respectively.
I'll post Monday & Tuesdays Quotes at 8:00am sharp, so be ready. And again try not to use Google, unless you absolutely have to.

This Morning's Quote: "You are a fear prisoner. Yes, you are a product of fear."

Comes from Patrick Swayze in Donnie Darko.

Congrats to John who got it right, and a late congrats to Jana for getting Wed's quote from Kill Bill.

Today's Bonus quote: "I don't know. Not for sure. But I believe he is. You see, before he came down here, it never snowed. And afterwards, it did. If he weren't up there now, I don't think it would be snowing. Sometimes... you can still catch me dancing in it."

Clues: The director & star of the film are frequent collaborators.

OOPS!: Clearly this wasn't supposed to run until tomorrow morning, but it did, so whatever, you get a specal bonus quote of the day.

Yesterday's Quote:

"Those of you lucky enough to have your lives, take them with you. However, leave the limbs you've lost. They belong to me now."

The clue was that the Director has a new film coming out this year. The Film is "Inglourious Basterds," the Director is Quentin Tarantino. This quote comes from Tarantino's Kill Bill Vol. 1.

Personally I can't wait to see IB, but I need to read the script first, which is setting on my desktop.

Today's Quote: "You are a fear prisoner. Yes, you are a product of fear."

Clue: It was released on Blu-Ray last week.

Yesterday's Quote:

You think water moves fast? You should see ice. It moves like it has a mind. Like it knows it killed the world once and got a taste for murder. After the avalanche, it took us a week to climb out. Now, I don't know exactly when we turned on each other, but I know that seven of us survived the slide... and only five made it out. Now we took an oath, that I'm breaking now. We said we'd say it was the snow that killed the other two, but it wasn't. Nature is lethal but it doesn't hold a candle to man.

Came from 1999's Deep Blue Sea starring Thomas Jane, LLCoolJ, and of course the man known as Nick Fury, Samuel L. Jackson. (Because I love my wife and don't want to sleep on the couch I've used a picture that doesn't include Sharks as she's deathly afraid of them, put you can click on the picture and see Sam L. getting munched on right after delivering this line. Or even better look the video up on YouTube.)

BTW, Deep Blue Sea is a really fun movie. It takes all the conventional horror rules (the black guy dies first, etc.) and abandons them, which means you don't know whats going to happen. And it's just a lot of fun.

Yesterday's Quote:

Now the sun will be up in an hour or so, and we can all get out of here together. You, me, Linda, Shelly. Hmm... Well... not Shelly, she? We'll all be going home together. Wouldn't you like to be going home? I bet you'd like that, wouldn't you? Scott?

Comes from 1981's Evil Dead starring Bruce Campbell. It's a great film and one I enjoy watching every once in a while, although I think Army of Darkness, the 3rd film in the series, is my favorite.

Today's quote is a bit of a toughy. The movie came out the year I graduated high school and the man saying the line is one Fury of a man:

You think water moves fast? You should see ice. It moves like it has a mind. Like it knows it killed the world once and got a taste for murder. After the avalanche, it took us a week to climb out. Happy Guessing! And again try not to google. It's more fun if you don't know and just guess past on the quote itself and the cluse.

Friday's quote:

“This is a Hallowe'en tale of Brooklyn, where anything can happen - - and it usually does. At 3 P.M. on this particular day, this was happening -”

That quote comes from 1944's Arsenic and Old Lace.

Today's quote:

"Now the sun will be up in an hour or so, and we can all get out of here together. You, me, Linda, Shelly. Hmm... Well... not Shelly, she? We'll all be going home together. Wouldn't you like to be going home? I bet you'd like that, wouldn't you? Scott?"

And today I'll give you a hint the movie came out in the year of my birth and stars one of my favorite actors of all time.

Happy Guessing!

Yesterdays quote:
"No, I'm all man. I even fought in WWII. Of course, I was wearing women's undergarments under my uniform."
That quote came from the great Tim Burton film, Ed Wood. Congrats to Jon Grubbs the first one to get it right.

Todays quote is a bit harder and is the opening line of the film:

“This is a Hallowe'en tale of Brooklyn, where anything can happen - - and it usually does. At 3 P.M. on this particular day, this was happening -”

Happy Guessing!

So today I'm beginning a new feature Quote of the day. Each day (hopefully) I'll post a quote and you guess what movie it's from (Try not to cheat with google) and you can guess which movie its from.

I'll give the answer in the next day's Quote. Somedays there may be prizes (depending on what I have and when I have it) and somedays it may just be for fun. For the most part when there are prizes the first correct answer will get the prize, but somedays I might mix it up throw all correct entries in a hat and pick one at random.

So here's today's Quote:

"No, I'm all man. I even fought in WWII. Of course, I was wearing women's undergarments under my uniform."

Write your guesses in the comment section.
